• Lab exercise 1 (due Sept. 16) Sept. 9-13
  This lab exercise will focus on proofs and complexity

• Lab exercise 2 (due Sept. 30) Sept. 16-20, 23-27
  This lab exercise will focus on merge and mergesort

• Lab exercise 3 (due Oct. 21) Sept. 30-4, Oct. 14-18
  This lab exercise will focus on balanced trees

  There will be no lab the week of Thanksgiving (Oct. 8-12),
  (midterm 1 will be held roughly the middle of this week)

• Lab exercise 4 (due Nov. 4) Oct. 21-25, 28-Nov. 1
  This lab exercise will focus on heaps and heapsort

• Lab exercise 5 (due Nov. 25) Nov. 4-8, 18-22
  This lab exercise will focus on graph implementations

  There will be no lab the week of Remembrance Day (Nov. 11-15),
  (midterm 2 will be held roughly the middle of this week)

• Lab exercise 6 (due Dec. 2) Nov. 25-29
  This lab exercise will focus on string matching
