CSCI 171: project notes

A substantial portion (50%) of the student's course mark will be based on a game design project.

There will be three phases to this project, outlined below.

  1. Phase I: game concept and initial sales pitch: Worth 10%, due at the start of the lab on January 26th

  2. Phase II: game design document: Worth 15%, due at the start of the lab on March 2nd

  3. Phase III: design or development: Worth 25%, due at the start of the lab on April 6th
    Choose one of the following two options:
    (a) Implement a proof of concept for the game
    (for students wishing to concentrate on the programmatical aspects of game development).
